Situated in Southern Asian, Thailand has Bangkok as its capital city. Thailand shares it’s borders with Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia. The kingdom of Thailand, previously known as Siam has borders with two bodies of water, in the West the Indian Ocean and to the south the Gulf of Thailand.

The north of Thailand is a very mountainous region with many deep valleys and natural forests. The northeast is very arid. The centre of Thailand is very lush and mass produces rice. The southeast is very hilly with thick forests. The three main destinations that cater for families and family holidays are Hua Hin, Phuket and Bangkok. Hua Hin is just a three-hour drive from Bangkok or a short flight, and it boasts good beaches for swimming, golf courses, spa resorts and excellent shopping

Most visitors prefer to be in Thailand between November and the end of February when there is a cool north east breeze and a reduction in the humidity level making it the main tourist / holiday-maker season.

From learning to scuba dive (Thailand is one of the cheapest places to learn) or trekking with the elephants, there are no end of amazing opportunities for indulging in the lives and cultures of the locals.

There cannot be a more exiting food than Thai. Together they produce an eclectic mix of eastern cuisine. Initially influenced from China and Indonesia, surprisingly not all food is spicy and hot. Thai’s pride themselves of the look of their food as well as the taste.
