Andorra
Sandwiched between France and Spain in the Pyrenees. This duty free state is ideal for those Skiers on a budget.
Good for - Beginners, duty free shopping cheap rowdy nightlife, good lift system.
Poor for – Great with your mates, but not so good if you want to take your mum and dad.
Austria
With the Alps covering most of Austria it's no surprise that it is one of Europe's most popular destinations
Good for -Pretty, picturesque postcard villages. Excellent mountain facilities and ski lifts. Suitable for beginners and intermediates. Excellent nightlife.
Poor for – Snow records can be a concern as a lot of resorts are mid altitude. Food generally heavy.
Bulgaria
Bulgaria's ski resorts have been transformed through a major investment in its ski infrastructure.
Borovets and
Bansko are the main ski areas.
Good for - excellent small piste areas for beginners, with good ski schools and efficient lift system.
Poor for – Limited for advanced skiers varied nightlife and limited other activities.
Canada
Offers excellent skiing in both the East and West of the country. Un-crowded motorways of groomed pistes with good snow records.
Good for - Un-crowded, suitable for all standards. Excellent if you want to ski or board on virgin powder snow.
Poor for – Distance from Europe, and it can get cold -30c in Banff and Lake Louise.
France
France has some of the best and most varied skiing in Europe.
Good for - Huge Choice of resorts suites all levels of skiers. Lots of ski Chalets or ski apartments on the ski slopes in purpose built resorts. Good food.
Poor for – Some purpose built resorts are not quite picture postcard images one gets in Austria.
Italy
Italy has great skiing and can offer a slightly cheaper alternative to other W. European resorts.
Good for - Intermediate and beginners. Famous Milky Way and Super dolomites ski regions.
Poor for – Needs more investment in certain ski areas.
Switzerland
Switzerland is the skiing Mecca of the world, smack in the heart of Alps.
Good for - Beautiful well run, state of the art resorts, suitable for all levels.

USA
