The area is full of interesting and exciting things to do and see. These include excellent golf courses, tennis, water sports, horse riding, fishing, walking, go-karting, para-gliding and even pool and snooker. Traditional bullfighting can be seen at the bull ring. A casino is located 20 minutes away and there are organized trips to watch the dolphins at play off Gibraltar. Arrangements can be made for day trips by coach to Granada, Ronda, Cordoba, Gibraltar, Seville and even Africa. Selwo Wildlife adventure park is 10 minutes from town.

Within a 5 minute walk of the block is the delightful beach of Playa Del Cristo as well as a plethora of restaurants, shops, bars etc... at the vibrant and colourful Port of Estepona. This Old Spanish town, located between Marbella and Gibraltar is one of the few on this coast that is relatively unspoiled by the intrusion of commercial tourism. A by-product of this is a low crime rate and a feeling of safety at all times. The town centre (Plaza de Flores) is a 15-minute stroll along a delightful floral beachfront promenade. There are a wide variety of restaurants ranging from tapas to gourmet at prices considerably less than the UK. There is a large market on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the year.
