Riad Hugo offers affordable luxury in a fascinating location. This impressive Riad is located in the kasbah, the oldest part of the Marrakech Medina in the very desirable southern end of the old town. The house is very spacious with 4 en-suite bedrooms and two salons. Under the leaves of the banana trees and palms growing in the courtyard is the heated plunge pool. The roof terrace provides a dining table and sunbeds, with views of the Baadi Palace, Saadian Tombs, Kasbah Mosque, the roof tops of the kings palace and its gardens, the snow topped Altas Mountains provide the back-drop.
The welcoming staff prepare breakfast each day and see that the house is kept clean. Dinner can be ordered and is always an exquisite array of traditional dishes that will far surpass any restaurant. Dinner is served by the houseman, this is like having a small luxury hotel all to yourself.

Riad Hugo is available for sole occupancy only. Maid service and breakfast included. Housemans wage paid locally at £36 per week. Carered property with diner available on request. The kitchen is set up for the use of the housekeeper. Rental costs £700 for 4 people for 4 nights each additional person charged £150 £900 for 4 people for 4 nights each additional person charged £200 Children under 10 years no additional charge

The Kasbah is the oldest part of the Marrakech Medina. Riad Hugo was probably built in the 16th century at the same time as the near by Badii Palace, this is the area the kings courtiers would have made their home. Today this part of town is fascinating with street markets, shops, craftspeople, bars and restaurants all competing for your attention. Children play in the narrow streets and Moroccans go about their daily lives much as they have done for centuries.
Many of the cities most popular and interesting monuments are located only a few minutes walk away and the rest of the old city is easily accessed on foot.
Riad Hugo really allows you to get a feel for the way of life in the Medina while providing a wonderfully comfortable base from which to explore.

Marrakech is holiday destination that will provide memories to last a life time, a real culture shock that is eased by the friendly and welcoming Moroccan people. Parts of the city feel as though they have not changed for hundreds of years while others offer the chicest of restaurants and nightclubs to rival any in London or New York. The new town offers Cafes and designer shops along wide elegant boulevards.
Head out of town for days on the coast at Essaouira or Safi, drive into the mountains for cool summer trekking or winter skiing. Explore the Ourika Valley with its wonderful waterfalls or just walk to the local hamam and enjoy a traditional massage, the ideal way to relax after a hard days shopping in the souks.
An evening stroll through the Djemaa el-fna as it changes from an open square into a buzzing open-air restaurant, a drink and one of the smart hotels and then wander back to Riad Hugo where the staff will have dinner waiting and the house illuminated by candles and lamps. Marrakech is as much an experience as a place and has something for everyone.
