It is under an hour from Malaga airport, and 1 1/2 hours from Granada, both famous cities, See the famous Alhambra, or la Alcazaba. You can also enjoy visiting the traditional Andalucian whitewashed villages like Comares, bathe in the hot spa in Alhama de Granada, or visit The Wolf Park in Antequera, to name but a few of many more attractions. Or join in with a local fiesta and experience Andalucia at its most vibrant, with Flamenco dancing and all night atmosphere. For golf lovers there are courses on the coast, 20 minutes away or you can make a trip inland to Anterera and play golf under the famous EL Torcal national park. For those who like activity holidays, there is horse-riding locally, quadbike hire, paintballing and much more. Your hosts will be happy to make reservations and help to make your stay memorable.

Located in the heart of Andalucia with wonderful views near Lake Vinuela. Enjoy the opportunity to go bird watching, riding, cycling and walking with miles upon miles of wonderful footpaths and riverbeds to explore. Plenty of picnic areas with views of lake. The historic village of Comares is on a mountain top with panoramic views of the Axarquia. Velez Malaga is the capital town where local produce and clothes are sold on Thurdays. If you enjoy walking go the top of Mount Maroma along one of it's paths located at Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella. Trek through the beautiful countryside or visit the Buddhist temple which is only a 20 minute walk away. The nearest villages Vinuela, Puente don Manuel are around 10 minutes drive, all with supermarkets, or the coast is 20 minutes away with all amenites.The historic cities of Granada. Seville, Cordoba and Malaga are all within driving distance.

The beautiful whitewashed villages of Periana and Comares are only a short drive away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants for a relaxing evening out and local produce such as wine, almonds, raisins, olives, honey and cheese make for a tasty bite to eat back at the villa. The perfect location to relax and unwind!

There is much to enterain all ages nearby from golf courses 20 minutes away on the coast to horse riding or quadbiking. Walking and birdwatching are rewarding activities here in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Swimming is always popular both at the beaches or in the water park at Torre del Mar, or myriad other water sports such as waterskiing Or you can visit a village swimmingpool 15 minutes away in Benamargosa for 60 cents!
