Pafos has it all for all age groups, ancient sites by the bucket full, beaches, rugged unspoilt coastline, museums, monasteries, a fascinating old town, uk shops,fabulous food, a huge variety of restaurants, a lovely promenade, nightlife, clubs, water park, bird & animal park, scuba diving, safe sea bathing. Cinemas (in English) & theatres. Plays and concerts and the famous opera festival are staged at the fort and the amphitheatre over the summer. Most of this within 15 mins walk of the house.
Pafos is the ideal starting point to explore the island, motorway links make much of it accessible. Nicosia (Lefkosia) the capital is less than 2 hrs drive, and well worth a visit. You can spend time in the north of Cyprus - remember to take your passport. Polis and Latsi are approx. 45 mins away, enjoy the stunning scenery and pretty resorts. Visit the tourist cafe at "Aphrodite's Bath" the view over the bay is fabulous. Enjoy the cool fresh air of the Troodos mountains. Pafos is an ideal year round resort in the winter months you can ski in the mountains and swim in the sea on the same day. One of only 5 places in the world were this can be done. So much to do and so little time.

Iris Cottages are situated in the heart of Kato Pafos. Ideally placed for Pafos old town, the harbour, beaches, shops and a smart modern hospital. These are only a short 5 min drive or a pleasent 20 minutes walk through the new residental area. Only a few minutes walk will bring you to the nearest kiosk (which sells everything!) 2 Local tavernas, post office, pub car hire & internet cafe etc. All the houses on the quiet complex are privately owned, the majority being u.k. owners, and share an attractive pool and garden area.
