Lou Capitani is a typical Provencal stone 'Mas' set in the middle of the famous Mourvedre vineyards of the Bandol AOC wines not far from the coast. More than 200 years old, it was restructured in 1965 as a family home and a swimming pool was added in 1985. Completely renovated in 2004, it stands as the highest house on one of the tallest west-facing hills overlooking the Bandol 'vignobles' and the villages of Le Castellet and La Cadiere d'Azur. With a private pine forest behind, the property enjoys cool mornings, even at the height of summer, and an eternity of amazing sunsets. It is in one of the most secluded spots at the heart of the Provence of Cezanne and Marcel Pagnol... and yet, only ten minutes from the sea.

Rental Condition
Rent is payable in full 8 weeks prior to arrival. For early bookings: EUR 850 (per week booked) is payable upon reservation to secure the booking; the balance is payable no later than 8 weeks before arrival. The above amounts are not refundable on cancellation unless an replacement booking is secured for the dates that have been cancelled. Please note: - A damage deposit of EUR 1,000 in cash or by cheque is required upon arrival, to be returned upon departure after the property has been inspected for loss or damage. - Bed linen and cleaning on departure is provided. - Towels are provided for use in the bathrooms. Pool or beach towels are not provided. WINTER BOOKINGS: Winter rental requests will be considered. Please contact us. In the winter, roughly from mid October to mid April, the house is centrally heated. There will be an extra charge for the heating, based on the fuel consumption. Contact us for more details.

The nearest shopping area for regular household needs is at Le Beausset, about 3 kilometres away. It has 2 weekly markets, a big one on Fridays and a smaller one on Sundays in the morning, well worth a visit! Le Beausset also has 2 supermarkets. More fun can be had at the sea! The nearest beach is at Bandol-Sanary. These two towns are side by side due south of Lou Capitani. For rocky creeks, on the road west from Bandol to St Cyr, take the road to Port d'Alon. Other sandy beaches are available at Les Lecques, after St Cyr going towards La Ciotat. The nearest really big towns are Toulon (20 k) and Marseille (45 k). Excursions to Aix en Provence, Arles, Avignon, Nimes and the Camargue are all only an hour or two away. For walkers, the range of the Ste Baume, facing LouCapitani, is a must.
