It is situated in a quiet part of town just 700m from the Schmittenhohebahn and 1300m from the Zellerbergbahn lifts. There is a stream nearby, mountain views and the main town is a 10 minute walk.
The apartment is across 2 floors. The ground floor consists of a main living area with lounge, dining and kitchen facilities. A door leads to the main bedroom which has an Austrian twin bed and double sofa bed, and separate shower room with wc. A staircase in the living area leads up to a mezzanine-style bedroom with an Austrian twin bed and en-suite shower-room with wc. Both bedrooms have wardrobes.
The apartment has a ski bus stop just a few metres away on the main road, where you can catch a bus into town or up to the Schmittenhohebahn lift. You can ski most of the way back down to the apartment during the winter.

A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure booking. Final balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival date. A £100 refundable deposit will be held to cover breakages and damage. Payments can be accepted by bank transfer, cheque or credit card, in Euros or Sterling.

In winter, Zell Am See is part of the 'Europasport' region which covers Zell Am See, Kaprun & Kitzsteinhorn ski areas. There are 132km of pistes for all levels of skiier/boarder to explore. There are excellent ski schools for adults and children, a snow park for snowboarders, and Kinderland for younger guests. Town also has an ice-skating rink, indoor swimming pool, indoor tennis, squash, winter walks, snow-shoeing, sleigh rides and a toboggan run.
In summer, the lake provides a perfect setting for sailing, fishing, bathing and other watersports. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, bicycles for hire and outdoor tennis. The cablecar lifts remain open, providing access to guided and unguided walks, from leisurely rambles to mountain hikes. The nearby resort of Kaprun provides year-round glacier skiing, bowling, horseriding and boasts 2 championship 18-hole golf courses which host the World ski & Golf championship in late spring . The longest summer toboggan run in Europe is at saalfelden which is around 15 minutes by car.

The town of Zell Am See caters for all tastes with its variety of bars, pubs and restaurants. From lively apre-ski bars and nightclubs, to traditional European dining and friendly cafes. In winter, you can sample the traditional Austrian delights such as 'gulaschsuppe' or 'apfelstrudel', in front of a cosy logfire after a day in the snow. Whereas in summer, when temperatures can reach 35 degrees, the town is transformed with ice-cream parlours, cafes and outdoor dining. There is a pedestrian shopping area, designer shops, supermarkets, banks, chemist, doctor, post office, tourist information, hospital and church all within the resort. The ski bus is free with an area lift pass, regular buses can take you to Kaprun (20 minutes) and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier (30 minutes). Austria has an excellent train service with direct trains to Salzburg from Zell Am See, where you could take a Sound of Music tour, see the birthplace of Mozart, zoo, ice-caves or visit one of the many castles.
