28 Langley View is a delightful apartment situated in the picturesque village of Chulmleigh; a hilltop town sitting in the beautiful Devon countryside above the River Taw.
North Devon was made famous by Henry Williamsone's book 'Tarka the Otter' and not only boasts magnificent beaches and excellent surfing. Visitors to the area can also enjoy good walking along the South West Peninsula Coastal Path and cycling on the Tarka trails. The Tarka trails are old railway lines that have been pulled up and are now areas of conservation for wildlife.
It gives easy access to both Exmoor and Dartmoor which boast excellent walking and pony trekking. Dartmoor is home to the 'Ten Tors' event - held in May every year.
Chulmleigh is approximately 10 minutes drive from Eggesford Station on the world famous 'Tarka' railway line, reputed to be one of the best railway journeys in the UK. This railway line runs from Barnstaple to Exeter and is used by commuters and holidaymakers alike.
Chulmleigh offers a full range of amenities including a health club, 18 hole short course golf club, 3 pubs - all serving food, Indian restaurant and takeaway, convenience store, Post Office, dairy/delicatessen, bakery, newsagent, hardware store, hairdressers, butcher - selling locally produced meat, greengrocer and mobile fish shop.
