Wine event in Rousillon
 
The Roussillon Wine Fair taking place later this month could be of interest to wine lovers with holiday apartments in France.

An annual event, which this year takes place on June 27th, the fair aims to highlight the region's best produce.

This year the festival takes place in the Place de la Republique and showcases not only the region's reds and whites, but also the fortified wine Banyuls, as well as a number of different cheeses and other local delicacies.

According to events website What's on When, individuals may also try a number of other local delicacies, such as the Boles de Picolat and the Anchois de Collioure, among other things.

Holidaymakers staying in villas in France can also partake in a number of other events in the region over the summer months, such as the Estivales summer festival of Perpignan which this year runs from July 4th to 30th.
