Rent a villa in Tuscany to enjoy the diversity of Italy
Holidaymakers who wish to rent a villa in Italy may like to do so in Tuscany as it is rich in diversity.

That is according to Stefania Gatta, a spokeswoman for the Italian State Tourist Board, who recommended the cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena as good places to visit.

These are beautiful medieval cities that have been well-preserved and showcase the art and history of the region, she stated.

Ms Gatta added: "There is an area in southern Tuscany which is fairly undiscovered, called Maremma.

"It offers very beautiful beaches backed by pine forests and also some very nice cities."

This area is starting to become more popular with British visitors who may like to rent a villa in Italy to explore the region.

The Italian State Tourist Board revealed on January 10th that Italy will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its unification this year.

Therefore, 2011 could be a good time to rent a villa in Italy as a series of events, including an exhibition displaying works by Picasso, Dali and Miro, are being held to celebrate.
