Rent a cottage in France and 'watch magnificent bulls'

Tourists who are planning to rent a cottage in France could consider visiting Languedoc-Roussillon in the south of the country.

According to the French Government Tourist Office, visitors to the region can have a 'mad time' and experience once in a lifetime events.

Holidaymakers renting a cottage in France may like to attend the Camargue Bull Games, which take place throughout the summer until the end of October.

These are not traditional bull fights as the animals are not killed but are revered and given names.

Competitors, called razeteurs, try to remove a rosette that has been attached to the bull's head and must use all their skills to do so without colliding with the beast.

Therefore, people renting a cottage in France could witness a tradition that dates back to 1402 although the games are less cruel now.

Languedoc-Roussillon has other attractions too including sandy beaches, mountains, vineyards and it is steeped in Roman history.

Tourists can also follow in the footsteps of artists such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse by walking the Fauvism Trail.ADNFCR-1687-ID-800007852-ADNFCR
