Golf lovers to get brand new resort in Balchik
 
Golf lovers and holidaymakers in Bulgaria will soon benefit from a new golf resort worth €70 million (£57 million) in Bulgaria's north-eastern Black Sea coast, reports say.

According to the Sofia Echo, the new multi-million euro complex known as Lighthouse Golf Resort, will officially open its doors in May and will be graced by Welsh golf pro Ian Woosnam, who also designed the course.

The resort, which is currently under construction near Balchik, will also boast some 1,000 holiday home units, 350 of which have already been sold to foreign property investors with the remainder still under construction.

In addition, the resort will boast a variety of amenities including retail space, bars, restaurants, a spa and wellness centre, a tennis court, swimming pools, retail space and a five-star 180-room hotel, the newspaper reports.

The attraction is sure to boost visitor figures to the region as it is located near two other golf courses – the Black Sea Rama and Thracian Rocks.ADNFCR-1687-ID-18770254-ADNFCR
