Florida tourism not affected by oil spill

That is because tourism has hardly been affected so buying a holiday home in Florida could still be profitable as it is a popular destination.
According to the 8th annual fall Travel Trends Survey, 80.5 per cent of those working in the tourism industry in Florida stated that there had been no impact on their autumn bookings due to the oil spill.
Will Seccombe, chief marketing officer for Visit Florida, claims that the region did not experience the environmental impact that most people expected.
He stated that 100 per cent of the beaches in the Sunshine State were clean and clear.
"The diversity of the state is just remarkable and the proximity, there are so many one of a kind state parks, springs and older, more traditional attractions around the state.
"There are trails for hiking, biking and kayaking. Even in the winter season it's fantastic," Mr Seccombe said about the attractions of the area for families.
