First time buyers looking for villas in Bulgaria and France

The eastern European country, with its huge variety of skiing and golfing resorts, has seen an increase in buyers who are looking to get their first property outside the UK.
However, Esther Shaw of the Independent warns that those looking to do so need to do full and proper research into holiday villas in the country before they make the leap.
As well as Bulgaria, many are purchasing in France, with Oliver Richards and James Nunn purchasing a ski chalet in the French Alps as their first property.
Speaking to Ms Shaw, Mr Richards said: "We knew there was no way we could afford a place in central London. We are both keen skiers and chose a place high in the Alps that you can ski right up to.
"While we have put down a large deposit, we feel we have got a lot more for our money in France and that the place has great potential for growth."
Traditionally, buying a house on the continent requires a larger deposit, although with lower monthly payments the amount can be balanced out.
