Fancy driving a car down a ski slope?
Le Mont-Dore, which is located next to the area will be hosting its annual downhill mountain driving race from August 8th, an event that is not for the faint hearted.
Holidaymakers sampling holiday accommodation and country cottages in the region will get an opportunity to witness the three day event, which involves driving a car as fast as possible down a mountain.
Qualifying rounds for the race, which takes place over a 5km course dropping 300 meters vertically will take place on Friday July 8th followed by practice runs on Saturday and the real deal on Sunday.
Visitors to the event can expect a lot of entertainment full of thrills and spills as competitors take to the slopes, some of which have accommodated skiing since the early 20th century.
