Bulgaria 'is a hotspot for travellers'

More and more people from all over the globe are opting for a holiday in Bulgaria, it has been found.

Although in the past many travellers have opted for locations such as Paris and New York, they are now becoming more adventurous, according to a poll by Expedia.com.

Bulgaria was voted second in Expedia.co.uk's Top Ten Destinations for 2007, as it was considered to have a beautiful coastline, reasonable prices and a wide array of cultural sights and historical attractions.

Similarly, this year may be a great time to spend a holiday in a ski chalet in Bulgaria, as the company has found that more travellers from as far away as Australia and New Zealand are heading to the country.

Bulgaria's 200 ski resorts "boast the bells and whistles of the western slopes, but without the hefty price tag", the New Zealand Herald states.

Holiday rentals in Bulgaria may be a good option for investors, since the local taverns have charm and style, with great cuisine and local music.
