Avoriaz to thrill and challenge skiers

As the summer glacial skiing season kicks off in earnest in several skiing destinations, holidaymakers are advised to take note of the Avoriaz Ski Resort.

With 100km of off-piste terrain in which to ski, holidaymakers sampling vacation accommodation or enjoying country cottages in the region stand to have great fun, "thanks to the high altitude and well-planned design of the resort" says Holiday Hypermarket.

The resort, which is located in the Port du Soleil ski area, reportedly has something for everyone as it is equipped with several slopes, which would suit beginners, intermediates and pro skiers alike.

And for those skiers in search of a challenge, a 300 metre drop, which is referred to as The Wall and recognised as one of the most challenging black runs in Europe is on hand to test their mettle.

France continues to be a popular ski destination for many Brits, according to leading ski tour operator, Crystal.ADNFCR-1687-ID-18705475-ADNFCR
