'Big tourist attraction to be opened in Bulgaria'

People with holiday homes to rent in Bulgaria may be interested to learn that a new wine museum to be opened in the country is tipped as being one of the biggest tourist attractions the country has to offer.

The museum is to be opened in Kailaka in the town of Pleven and is to be located in one of the caves in the picturesque area.

According to Plamen Pletkov, the owner of the Chateau Kailaka wine cellar, and the town's mayor Naiden Zelenogorski, the museum will be a great draw for tourists.

The announcement was made at the opening of the Best European Sommelier 2008 competition, in which wines sampled were deemed full, balanced and have a great potential for the world market.

Pleven is 174km north-east of Sofia and houses a plethora of monuments and museums, including the Museum of Liberation and the Mausoleum-Ossuary.
