   Travelling in a group? Then rent a villa with a private pool. You’ll be surprised how affordable and fun this can be! Want to be more budget conscious, why not book 2/3 apartments near each other on a purpose built golf course. We recommend you choose your accommodation on or near one of the courses you are going to play. There’s no hassle in trying to the find golf courses on maps or paying expensive taxi fares. The Costa Calida represent exceptional value for money with several top quality courses all within 10 mins drive of each other as the infamous ‘La Managa’ with its four course just south of Murcia. In the evening taxis are very low cost in nearly all resorts so travel costs to and from restaurants, bars and nightclubs will be minimal. All our holiday homes have full kitchen facilities as well, so eating in will save even more of your money!!
2. Book Your Flights

   To optimise your time on the course, go for flights with an early morning departure on the o and late evening return on the final day. That way you can maximise the amount of golf you play over a short stay like 3 nights - gives you 4 rounds of golf.
   
   Beware most airlines now are charging for cost of carriage of golf clubs with the exception of BA . This can add almost £60 to the cost of your trip.
3. Car Hire
   
   You have several options for car hire. If you are travelling as a large group we suggest you hire a ‘mini -van.’ This can seat up to 8 people (x 2 four balls) and means only one person gets the short straw to drive. Mini - vans usually come with ample space for the carriage of golf clubs. If you are travelling in a group of four, we recommend that hire a small estate to allow for golf clubs. For the best rates we recommend Holiday Autos or Hertz. Beware, some car hire companies may have cheap car hire rates for golfing holidays but often the pickup and drop off points can be located miles away from the airport delaying the start to your holiday.
4. Tee Times
   
   Play golf on weekdays. This may save you money on green fees local member’s usual play on either a Saturday or Sunday.
5. First Time DIY Golf Holidays –
